In his sophomore year of high school, J.J. Watt was a barely recruited outside linebacker prospect who wasn’t expected to play football at the collegiate level. After being redshirted as a freshman at Central Michigan, Watt transferred to Wisconsin and saw limited playing time as a defensive end in his first two seasons.
